Wild idling reconnects you with your essence: uncovering your truest relaxed self, your most powerful ideas, and your deepest wisdom.

 

How it works:

  • Arrive with a guided practice to ease you into a restorative, relaxed state.
  • Experience an hour of shared, supported and sacred downtime.
  • End with reflection questions and optional debrief, to harvest what was revealed in the restfulness.

  • You're an ambitious woman with a big vision for your life and high standards for yourself. You’ve been working hard towards your goals, juggling competing demands, and taking care of those you love.

  • Recently, it’s started to feel like a constant struggle. Your plate is too full, everything feels urgent and you never reach the end of your to-do list. It’s unsatisfying and exhausting.

Hi, I'm Erika.

What makes me the right coach /mentor for you?

  • Recovering over-achiever and HSP. I’m right here with you, on my own journey of de-conditioning from toxic productivity and hustle culture, learning to embody a gentler, more nourishing way to live.
  • Leading with body-based wisdom. I’m an embodiment coach for smart, successful women who ‘know’ all this stuff cognitively but struggle to fully integrate it into their bodies and daily life in a meaningful way.
  • A shame-free, fiercely compassionate liberatory approach. Too often in these spaces, women are blamed for the struggles they experience, deepening shame and self-hatred. None of that here. I believe you’ve been shaped by a culture that was not designed to support your thriving. There’s nothing wrong with you, there’s something very wrong with the culture.

  • Six weeks of narrative shifting, nervous system nourishing content to listen to in your own time, around your schedule. 

  • A variety of powerful body-based practices to help you sink into deep rest, ease and loving presence.

  • An embodied seasonal planning process. Designed to help you plan your next 3 months from a grounded sense of enoughness, and with what’s most important at the forefront.

Rest & Receive has been potent medicine for me, reminding me of the cultural and political/social context I'm living in, and how counter-cultural it is to say no, to stop, to ease back and refocus. If you are considering this course, I would say don't think about the words 'rest' and 'receive' with your mind - I know to me they conjured up 'slow down and become inactive', but now having done the course, I can see it has not been about that at all. It has given me the ability to listen to what my body needs, to love myself and trust that I know what I need for me. It has allowed me to soften and ground deeply, to notice what feels good, and to open to receive that nourishment. So, if you would like to notice where your energy is being used and what nourishes your body and soul, then this is the course for you. You might be surprised how much you need this in your life. Frequently Asked Questions

Is embodiment weird? Do I need to be athletic to take part?

Nope, not weird and not athletic. There’s no chanting or anything that’s too ‘woo’. I’m soulful, and I believe in nourishing the imagination in my work, but I also highly value the intellect and our lived experience. So expect pragmatic, practical teaching with clear exercises you can easily do, with an emphasis on you experimenting and finding what works for you. But also with poetry, music and myth in the mix.

How much time do I need? 

I recommend that you allow a minimum of one hour a week for the six weeks. But, you’ll have access forever (or at least, for as long as I continue to host the course on an online platform), so you can always go back and watch them again and again. In fact, I recommend you do! 

Is this a trauma course?

No. I'm not a therapist and if you are actively experiencing trauma symptoms, this course may not be for you. One of the reasons embodied coaching is so effective is that it can go deep very quickly and sometimes this means it touches into layers of emotion. A level of resilience is assumed and we trust you to make that call when you purchase.
